The most important event of the year

Human Trafficking is not a conspiracy theory. It is happening in Northern Nevada every single minute of every day. HTPA is leading a community walk to give our most vulnerable a voice. We must STEP UP and get loud about this heinous crime. On July 28th, we will walk side-by-side with survivors, NGOs and community members: A walk for justice for victims and survivors. What could be more important than to raise awareness and encourage our government leaders to STEP UP on their behalf.

About the event

WHAT IS STEP UP AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING?

STEP UP Against Human Trafficking is an awareness campaign initiated by Human Trafficking Prevention Alliance (HTPA). Human Trafficking is the fastest-growing criminal enterprise in the world. In 2023 the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) received more than 18,400 reports of possible child sex trafficking.

HOW WILL THIS DEMONSTRATION HELP BRING AN END TO HUMAN TRAFFICKING?

We will not stand by and let our most vulnerable  continue to be overlooked. Because they are vulnerable, they cannot rally up to fight for themselves. We must STEP UP and be their voice.

This demonstration will help raise awareness about child trafficking and the importance of government action in the interest of these victims. We encourage everyone to take action to prevent this heinous crime.

We can prevent human trafficking through prevention education, awareness,  community collaboration and advocacy. We can make a difference by collaborating with optimisim and a shared vision. Let’s raise our voices together!
